Introducing our new product – GU10 Light Bulb Dummy. This is the perfect tool to introduce an element of surprise into training and teach your dog that scent can come from anywhere – even from ceiling "eyes" or reading lamps.
We designed this dummy to closely resemble popular LED spotlight bulbs. The difference is that instead of lumens, it provides... fascinating scent challenges! With a standard GU10 fitting (two characteristic "mushrooms"), it fits countless light fixtures in your home.
GU10 bulbs are commonly used in spot lighting, ceiling strips, and modern desk lamps. Our dummy allows you to use these places as brilliant "inaccessible" hiding spots. Made from 100% safe plastic, it eliminates the risk of cuts that exists with glass counterparts.
Remember: safety is the foundation of successful training. Although our dummy is plastic and does not conduct electricity, you are interfering with the electrical installation.
ALWAYS disconnect the lamp from power (unplug it!) or turn off the circuit breaker before installing the dummy. Make sure the socket is not live before you start installing anything in it.
In the GU10 model, we focused on maximum simplicity. The dummy consists of two parts: a body and a screw-on front (imitation glass). Unlike the E27 version, here you don't need to screw anything inside.
Simply unscrew the yellow front, insert the Fluonose Nano+ can inside (it fits perfectly, not loose) or drop a scented cotton ball directly into the chamber, and screw it back on. Ventilation holes on the front will ensure that the scent escapes outside and reaches your dog's nose.
This tool is indispensable when you want to introduce variety into indoor training. If your dog only "scans" the floor and furniture up to his nose height, a scent hidden in a desk lamp or wall sconce will force him to change strategies and work "upwind." It's great training not only for the sense of smell but also for the dog's brain!
