FluoNora – Scent Hedgehog is a scent selection module with as many as 32 outlets placed around it, of which only one is a through outlet that releases scent from inside the hedgehog.

When we challenge a dog with only one can or one obvious point to check, it often relies on visual context. With the Hedgehog, it's not that easy. It was designed as a scent selection module. Imagine a dog seeing 32 identical openings. It has no idea which one is the right one. It must calm its emotions, engage its nose, approach the module with full professionalism, and gently check each "spike".
This teaches the dog analytical sniffing. It's an excellent tool for dogs that work too quickly and lose precision in the heat of the moment. And most importantly, the Hedgehog is incredibly versatile. Want a quick session in the living room after work? Just place it on the carpet. Want to build a complicated tube system in the garden? The FluoNora Scent Hedgehog is made from high-quality material that laughs in the face of mechanical damage and harsh weather conditions. You can train with it outside, in the rain, or on sand.
What after training? Total relaxation. The material is super easy to clean. It doesn't absorb odors as quickly as wood or inferior plastics. Just toss the module into warm water with a gentle detergent, rinse, and leave it to dry. It will be clean, smelling fresh, and ready for another round of cinnamon, clove, or orange.
Wondering how to get the Hedgehog rolling? Here’s a short, battle-tested training scenario that will bring out 100% of your dog’s potential!
Goal: Learning to ignore distractions and pinpoint marking on a module with a high concentration of scents.
Preparation: Place the Hedgehog in the center of the carpet in the living room. In the active channel (the one with arrows), insert a cotton ball soaked in the target scent (e.g., cinnamon). Now it's time to play – take four Fluonose Nano+ cans. Put dry dog food in two, a cotton ball with tea scent in the third, and leave the fourth empty as a mechanical distraction. Distribute the cans in random blind nests of the Hedgehog.
Action: Guide your dog to the vicinity of the Hedgehog and give the search command. Watch its work. You will notice how its nose scans the outlets one by one. If the dog shows interest in the opening with food, do not react – give it a moment to analyze. As soon as it realizes that it's a false trail and moves to the outlet with cinnamon, where the scent is, immediately click/praise it ("Great!") and reward it at the source of the scent.
Level Up: On the next repetition, turn the Hedgehog 180 degrees. For the dog, this is a completely new setup, and you didn't even have to move the cans!
