FluoNora – simple 10 cm segment is a basic tubular segment of the modular scent tunnel, which allows you to extend scent channels and build more complex training configurations.
The element has bayonet mounts on both sides, so you can quickly connect it to the base, elbow, tee, cap, or another simple segment.
Made of durable PETG and equipped with a sealed connection, it will work great in nosework training at home, in dog schools, and outdoors.
FluoNora – straight segment 10 cm is one of the most basic yet versatile elements of the entire FluoNora system. It is thanks to such segments that you can extend scent channels, build longer scent paths, and create more complex structures resembling real tunnels, burrows, and branches.
The straight segment is 10 cm long and has a diameter compatible with the FluoNora system, which is 10 cm. On one side, it has a bayonet mount that allows you to connect it to the base or a previous element of the system, and on the other side, it has the same mount enabling further expansion of the structure. You can treat it as an extension of the pipe coming out of the base, as a connector between the elbow and the tee, or as a simple segment leading the scent to the next module.

This element is simple only in name. In practice, it provides enormous freedom in building training sessions, as it allows you to control the length of the channel, the distance of the scent source from the exit, and the level of difficulty of the entire puzzle. You can create a very short configuration for a beginner dog or build a longer tunnel where the scent will spread in a less obvious way.
The FluoNora straight segment is a module that you always want to have more of. It is an element that allows you to quickly extend the base with additional length, change the location of the scent exit, or create a more challenging path for the dog. With a single segment, the training remains clear and simple, but when you add several such segments, you start building a real scent puzzle.
In nosework training, it is not always just about the dog finding the scent. Very often, we want the dog to learn to calmly analyze the space, thoroughly check the exits, not guess, and not mark random places. The straight segment helps regulate the level of difficulty without completely changing the exercise scenario. Just adding one segment can place the scent source deeper, further away, or in a less obvious location.
This is particularly useful when working with dogs that quickly "catch" simple hides and need a greater challenge. With straight segments, you can create setups where the dog still works with familiar equipment but must use its nose more precisely. That’s why this element fits perfectly in dog schools, nosework clubs, and trainers who want to have the ability to smoothly increase the difficulty of training.

The straight segment allows you to create channels where the scent does not appear immediately at the exit. You can extend one branch of the system, leave the others shorter, or connect several segments to create a more challenging task for the dog.
Each straight segment is equipped with bayonet mounts on both sides. The lower part allows you to connect the segment to the preceding element, while the upper part enables the addition of another module. This makes expanding the system quick, convenient, and repeatable. You plug it in, twist it, and you’re ready – you can move on to training.
This solution is particularly important in training work. During classes, it is often necessary to quickly change the configuration, adjust the level of difficulty to a specific dog, or prepare several variants of the same exercise. The FluoNora straight segment allows you to do this without searching for screws, straps, clips, or additional tools. The entire system retains its modular character, allowing you to focus on training rather than assembling equipment.
On the elements of the FluoNora system, there are arrows indicating the direction of scent flow. In the straight segment, they help quickly orient how the channel is arranged and in which direction the path is led. In more complex configurations, this detail really makes life easier – especially when the system consists of several segments, elbows, and branches.
The straight segment does not have a dedicated socket for the scent canister. And that’s a good thing, because it does not limit you to one specific hiding place. You can use it as an empty channel leading the scent from previous elements, as an extension of the chamber, or as a place to work with the mini canister Fluonose Nano+.
The Nano+ canisters have a built-in magnet, so by applying an external magnet to the wall of the pipe, you can secure the canister inside the segment at a selected height or location. This is a very interesting option when learning to indicate an inaccessible scent source. The dog smells the scent but does not have direct access to the carrier, so it must learn to precisely indicate the spot from which the scent is emanating.
You can also simply use the straight segment as an element leading the scent further – to an elbow, tee, capped chamber, or final extension. Compared to a classic scent chimney for nosework, FluoNora allows you to build more spatial setups where the scent can move through several connected elements.
This element is particularly useful for nosework trainers, dog schools, and clubs that want to regularly change training configurations. The straight segment is a very convenient way to increase difficulty without adding completely new exercise rules. The dog works in the same system, but the scent is located deeper, further away, or in a less obvious place.
It is also a good choice for those who train with their dog at home and want to gradually expand their FluoNora. You don’t have to buy a large set right away. You can start with the base and then add more straight segments, elbows, tees, and caps. This way, the system grows along with the dog's skills and your training ideas.
The straight segment, like the other elements of the FluoNora system, is made of PETG, making it suitable for use indoors and outdoors. You can use it in a training room, in the garden, on grass, in damp areas, or in snow. The entire structure can also be buried in soil, sawdust, or snow, creating a more natural and less obvious hide for the dog.
After training, simply shake the elements to remove loose dirt and wash them in warm water with detergent. This is especially important when the system is used in classes with multiple dogs or in various terrain conditions. Training equipment should be not only interesting but also practical for everyday use.
Note: this product includes one straight segment 10 cm of the FluoNora system. Other elements visible in sample configurations, scent canisters, and external magnets are available separately.
