FluoNora – channel extension 15 cm is the end element of the modular scent tunnel that expands the standard channel of the system from 10 cm to 15 cm in diameter.
This module is particularly useful in training with larger dogs that need a wider exit to comfortably insert their snout into the tube.
The extension has a lower bayonet mount compatible with the FluoNora system, but does not have an upper mount – it is an end element that closes the expansion of a given branch.
FluoNora – channel extension 15 cm is a special end piece of the modular scent tunnel that expands the standard channel from 10 cm to 15 cm in diameter. It was designed for training where the dog should have the opportunity to freely insert its muzzle deeper into the tube.
The standard FluoNora channels have a diameter of 10 cm and work perfectly for many dogs – for example, an adult spaniel's muzzle fits comfortably in such a tube. However, for larger breeds or dogs with a bulkier muzzle, a wider opening may be a more convenient solution. This is when the channel extension comes in handy, giving the dog more space for calm and natural nose work.

The FluoNora extension is an end piece. It has a standard bayonet mount at the bottom, so you can attach it to the base, a straight section, an elbow, or a T-joint. There is no additional mount at the top – this piece serves to finish the selected branch of the system with a wide outlet.
In nosework training, it is very important that the equipment is tailored not only to the dog's level but also to its build. A small dog, spaniel, shepherd, labrador, or molos will work with their noses a bit differently because they have different muzzle sizes, strengths, and ways of exploring space. The standard 10 cm tube is very versatile, but for larger dogs, it is sometimes worth giving them more room.
The channel extension allows you to finish a selected branch of the FluoNora system with a wide outlet of 15 cm in diameter. This way, the dog can approach the opening more comfortably, insert its muzzle deeper, and check the inside of the tube more thoroughly. This can be particularly useful in exercises where you want to work on calm marking, thorough checking of the channel's end, or tasks requiring the dog to enter the accessory with its nose.
This element will also work well when you want to diversify the appearance and feel of individual outlets in the system. One branch can end with a standard 10 cm tube, another with a cap, and another with a wide extension. For the dog, this is an additional variable, and for the trainer, another way to create more interesting and conscious exercises.

The channel extension gives the dog greater comfort when working at the end of the system. You can use it when you want the dog to have the opportunity to check the outlet more deeply, or when the standard diameter of 10 cm is a bit too tight for a specific dog.
The channel extension differs from straight sections, elbows, and T-joints in that it is not intended for further extension of the system. It has a standard bayonet mount at the bottom, which allows it to be attached to the preceding element. However, there is no additional mount at the top, so after installing the extension, the given branch of the system ends with a wide outlet.
This is very important information when planning the configuration. The extension should be treated as the end of the path – something you install at the end of the tube, behind an elbow, behind a straight section, or behind a selected branch of a T-joint. This way, you can decide which part of the system should end with a standard 10 cm outlet, which should be closed with a cap, and which should have a larger, more comfortable opening.
In practice, this offers a lot of possibilities. You can prepare a layout where only one branch has a wide outlet, while the others are standard. You can also use the extension as an end piece for larger breed dogs, while returning to classic 10 cm tubes for smaller dogs. The modular nature of FluoNora allows for quick configuration changes without tools and without rebuilding the entire equipment.
The channel extension has a lower bayonet mount compatible with the FluoNora system. This allows you to quickly attach it to the selected element – a straight section, elbow, T-joint, or base. The installation is simple: you fit the element, twist it, and it's ready. This solution works particularly well during classes when you need to quickly adjust the configuration to a specific dog.
In training work, convenience and repeatability matter. Instead of building separate equipment for each dog, you can use one system and only change the ends. For smaller dogs, you leave the standard outlet, and for larger ones, you attach the extension. This way, FluoNora becomes more versatile and convenient for everyday use.
On the elements of the system, there are arrows showing the direction of scent dispersion. In more complex configurations, they help to quickly understand how the entire path is arranged and where the end of the channel is located. This is especially useful when the system consists of several straight sections, elbows, and branches.
The channel extension does not have a dedicated socket for a scent canister and is not a container in itself. Its main task is to finish the branch with a wider outlet. However, you can use it in a configuration where the source of the scent is in the preceding element, deeper in the channel, or in a canister magnetically mounted inside the system.
A very interesting option is to use mini scent cans Fluonose Nano+. Thanks to the built-in magnet, the canister can be mounted inside the selected element of the system with the help of an additional magnet applied from the outside. The extension can then serve as a wide outlet through which the dog calmly analyzes the scent, but does not necessarily have direct access to the sample itself.
This is particularly useful in training with larger dogs. The wide outlet makes it easier for them to comfortably check the end of the channel, while still allowing control over the hiding place. The dog can work more freely, but still must use its nose and accurately mark the source of the scent.
In combination with the FluoNora base, the extension can be used as the end of one of the three main branches. You can mount it directly after a short straight section, behind a 30° elbow, or at the end of a more complex path. This way, one part of the system can be more accessible for a larger dog, while the others can remain standard.
The extension also works great with T-joints. You can build a layout where the through channel leads to a wide outlet, and the side chamber of the T-joint contains scent, a decoy, or treats. You can also finish a side branch with the extension, creating a more visible but still challenging checking point. It all depends on what training effect you want to achieve.
If you are already using classic accessories, such as scent chimney for nosework, the FluoNora extension offers a different kind of work. Instead of a single vertical hiding, you can create a channel that leads the scent through several elements and ends with a wide outlet suited for a larger dog.
The channel extension will be particularly useful for nosework trainers, instructors, dog schools, and clubs that work with dogs of various breeds and sizes. With this element, the same system can be more easily adapted to both smaller dogs and large breeds that need more space at the outlet.
It is also a great addition for those training with their dog at home if the standard 10 cm channel is too tight for the dog or if you simply want to create a more comfortable ending for one of the branches. The extension allows for practical expansion of FluoNora without complicating the entire structure.
The FluoNora channel extension is made of PETG, allowing it to be used both indoors and outdoors. It will work well in a training room, garden, yard, in grass, moisture, or snow. It can be part of a larger tunnel filled with soil, sawdust, or snow.
After training, simply shake out any loose dirt from the inside and wash the element in warm water with detergent. This is convenient, especially when the equipment is used regularly, with many dogs, and in various terrain conditions.
Note: this product includes one 15 cm channel extension for the FluoNora system. It is an end piece – after its installation, no additional modules can be attached from the top. Other elements visible in sample configurations, scent cans, and external magnets are available separately.
