The snowflake has been designed as a scent hanging point (so-called high hide). From the front, it looks like a classic, aesthetic decoration, but at the back, it hides a secret weapon – a threaded holder perfectly suited for Fluonose Nano+ cans. This way, you can "hide" the scent in plain sight by hanging the snowflake on a Christmas tree, a bush in the garden, or on a fence.

Why is it worth including the Snowflake in your training? Dogs often learn to search for scents only at ground level. Placing a sample higher – at nose height or even above the head – is a brilliant exercise that builds the dog's spatial awareness and teaches it to follow the scent cone in three dimensions.

💡 Example training: "Christmas Tree"

Use a walk in the forest or your own garden. Find a low conifer tree or a dense bush.

Hang the Snowflake with the scent on one of the branches, at the height of the dog's nose.
For misdirection (and to challenge advanced dogs), you can hang 2-3 other scentless snowflakes ("clean") nearby.
Approach the tree with the dog upwind. Watch how the dog catches the "upper wind" – it may lift its head, sniff the air instead of the ground.
When the dog locates the source (touches the snowflake with its nose or freezes next to it), immediately reward it right at the source of the scent!
