Here’s everything you need to know to get started with our new Scent Waffle. It is an advanced, multi-chamber training panel measuring 10 x 17 x 2.5 cm (the size of a classic waffle with whipped cream!), made entirely of safe and odor-resistant PETG material in a natural, light brown color resembling dough. It offers as many as 20 independent cells in a 4x5 layout. Each of them hides a threaded socket perfectly fitted for Fluonose Nano+ cans. Importantly, the cans screw completely into the bottom, ensuring the waffle lies absolutely flat and stable on the ground. After training, you can easily wash it in warm soapy water. The panel is sold without containers included, but just above the "add to cart" button, you can immediately select from 1 to 6 Nano+ cans to be ready to go right after unpacking!

If you hid a clove in the upper left corner today, and tomorrow you want to place an empty can there as a distraction, just wash the waffle in warm water using regular dish soap. Done! Sample Training: Scent Minefield

Wondering why there are as many as 20 cells on such a small surface? To implement the "Scent Minefield" exercise, which will teach your dog to avoid superficial searching and build iron precision in marking.

• 1️⃣ Loading the Panel: Screw three Fluonose Nano+ cans into the bottom of the waffle. In one, place the prepared sample (target scent). In the other two, place clean cotton pads or distractions that the dog struggles with (e.g., food, a bit of food, or coffee grounds).
• 2️⃣ Strategic Proximity: Place the can with the target scent right in the middle of the waffle, and the distraction cans in the cells that directly neighbor it. Lay the toy on the floor and give the scent a few minutes to permeate through the holes.
• 3️⃣ Action "Minefield": Lead the dog to the area and send it to search. When the pet reaches the waffle, scent clouds will start to mix. This is where the hard work begins! You will see how the nose must slow down to separate the distraction scent from the target and hit the specific hole.
• 4️⃣ Criterion of Perfection: Wait to reward. If the dog marks the adjacent cell, do not reward. You wait for that fraction of a second when the animal "freezes" exactly over the cell with the correct scent.
• 5️⃣ Loud Praise: When the dog accurately indicates the cell with the target sample, explode with a reward – place a treat literally on the cell designated by the nose! This way, the pup gains 100% confidence that it is worth investigating the very center of the scent volcano. Over time, you can add more Nano+ cans and play with configurations.
