What sets the FluoFlow Pro apart is its incredible control over the scent sample. Forget about leaving scent traces on your fingers or accidentally scattering the scent around the hide. Here, the scent goes exactly where you direct the tip of the flexible, 50-centimetre tube. The kit you receive from us is ready to go straight out of the box (well, you’ll just need to add the scent yourself!). The set includes a pump with a graphite casing and a blue bellows, a 50 cm silicone tube and one can of Fluonose Nano+. The whole thing is based on a clever system of two check valves, which ensure that the air flows in only one direction – straight to your dog’s nose.

Remember the golden rule: cleanliness is paramount in nosework. If you’re changing the scent, don’t do it ‘on the fly’. Remove the can, take off the blue bellows and give the whole pump a moment to air out. This will allow any traces of the previous scent to dissipate and prevent them from misleading the dog during the next exercise. It’s a small step that makes a huge difference to the quality of the training.
This training is a real test for the dog and proof of just how precise a tool the FluoFlow Pro is. Here, we make use of the fact that electronics have a complex internal structure, and the scent escapes only through specific channels.
This exercise builds what is known as the dog’s independence from the handler and teaches it that a scent is not just what it smells on the outside, but something that has a specific source hidden deep within the casing.
Exercises of this type build incredible confidence and marking precision in your dog.
