On the contrary – the cool air carries scents wonderfully, and the Scent Snowflake will make your training take on a magical, festive atmosphere. This is not just an ordinary decoration – it’s a professional training tool in winter disguise! ❄️🐶

The Snowflake has been designed as a scent hanging point (so-called high hide). From the front, it looks like a classic, aesthetic decoration, but at the back, it hides a secret weapon – a threaded socket perfectly suited for Fluonose Nano+ cans. This way, you can "hide" the scent in plain sight by hanging the snowflake on a Christmas tree, a bush in the garden, or a fence.

Why should you include the Snowflake in your training? Dogs often learn to search for scents only at ground level. Placing the sample higher – at nose height or even above their head – is a brilliant exercise that builds the dog’s spatial awareness and teaches them to follow the scent cone in three dimensions.

How does it work in practice?

Then you hang the decoration in your chosen spot. To a casual observer, it’s just a decoration; for your dog – a fascinating scent puzzle!

💡 Example training: "Christmas Tree"

Use a walk in the forest or your own garden. Find a low coniferous tree or a dense bush.

Hang the Snowflake with the scent on one of the branches, at the height of the dog's nose.
For misdirection (and to challenge advanced dogs), you can hang 2-3 other scentless snowflakes ("clean") nearby.
Approach the tree with your dog upwind. Watch as the dog catches the "upper wind" – they may raise their head, sniff the air instead of the ground.
When the dog locates the source (touches the snowflake with their nose or freezes next to it), reward them immediately at the source of the scent!
