Sample training with the scent cone:

1. Place a can with the chosen scent (e.g., cinnamon) into one of the slots.
2. Set the cone on the floor and encourage your dog to find the correct scent with a command (e.g., "scent").
3. When the dog finds the correct slot, praise them and reward with a treat to reinforce positive associations.
4. Gradually add cans with other scents, teaching the dog to distinguish the target scent from deceptive scents.
