Nosework training is primarily great fun and building a relationship with your dog. However, to avoid falling into a boring routine, it's worth occasionally surprising your pet with something that totally catches them off guard. Our fried egg decoy is a hiding spot that, on one hand, has a super cool, slightly comic and visually pleasing look, and on the other, forces the dog to work hard with the wind. When you hide it in the grass during a walk or in your living room, the dog won't associate it with a classic metal can and won't take shortcuts. Our company tester Szajba had quite a puzzle during the first attempts, but quickly remembered that in this game, the nose rules, not the eyes!

Want to immediately test the new egg in action? Use this simple but very effective outdoor training scenario.

Preparing the scent: Place a cotton ball soaked in the target scent (e.g., clove oil) into a clean Fluonose Nano+ can. Screw the can into the bottom of the egg decoy, making sure the thread holds well.
Hiding in the field: Take the equipment to a park or a plot. Place the egg in slightly taller grass or right next to the picnic blanket. For the dog, this object will not visually differ from "human food" and will not scream "here is nosework!".
Time to release the scent: Leave the egg for about 10 minutes, allowing the scent to escape through the five holes in the yolk and form a scent cone with the wind.
Start the search: Lead the dog to the starting point and give the command to work. Watch closely as they work with the wind, ignoring obvious objects and relying on their nose.
Marking and reward: When the dog locates the egg and performs a marking (freezes at the yolk), give a joyful marker and generously reward them right at the hiding spot!
