Manual scent carousel for Nosework is a training device with a diameter of 90 cm, equipped with 10 arms featuring baskets for scent cans. You manually set the carousel in motion, controlling the speed and direction of rotation. The arms can be mounted at various angles, and in the latest version, each basket can be independently adjusted, directing it outward, upward, downward, or sideways. The construction is based on three legs with rubber caps, and assembly does not require any tools. The set also includes one Fluonose Mini+ scent can.
You can use the carousel during both static exercises and movement training. You decide when to set it in motion, in which direction, and at what speed. You can also stop it at any moment, for example, when your dog finds the source of the scent. This way, you can easily adjust the working method to the experience and behavior of a specific dog.
At the end of each of the ten arms, there is a basket designed for placing scent cans. You can use a single sample or prepare a more elaborate setup with several cans, including neutral and deceptive scents. The set includes one Fluonose Mini+ can with a diameter of 5 cm, equipped with an intensity adjustment for scent release. The can is delivered without scent samples.
The arms of the carousel can be mounted at various angles, allowing the baskets to be at different heights. You can set them all at the same level or create an alternating arrangement, with baskets positioned higher and lower. This allows you to adapt the device for small and large dogs and diversify exercises without changing equipment.
In the latest version of the carousel, the baskets can be independently rotated on the tubes they are mounted on. In addition to the classic outward setting, you can direct each basket upward, downward, or sideways. Importantly, you don't have to set them all the same. For example, you can mount the baskets alternately, one facing up, the next down, and the next to the side.
The combination of height adjustment of the arms with the independent positioning of the baskets provides many possibilities for preparing varied scent setups. The dog can search through baskets at different levels and directed in various directions. This is a simple way to gradually increase the level of difficulty and introduce new challenges into Nosework and Scentwork training.
