Holiday Tracker Hat is a stable scent cone for Nosework and Scentwork training that looks just like a real knitted Santa hat! It stands about 15 cm tall, has a base diameter of 10 cm, and weighs around 150 g. Inside, there is a scent chamber with a diameter of 55 mm and a height of approximately 65 mm, and the scent escapes through five holes in the white pom-pom. The cone is made of PETG material, suitable for indoor and outdoor training, and can be washed with warm soapy water after use. It is sold without a scent canister by default, but you can also choose a set with a Fluonose Nano+, Mini, or Mini+ canister.
At first glance, it’s just a red Santa hat with a fluffy white pom-pom and a wide cuff. But take a closer look! The entire surface is covered with raised structures mimicking knitting. The red part features a distinctive herringbone stitch, while the white elements resemble a thick knit. Inside the pom-pom, we’ve hidden five small scent holes through which the scent inside the cone escapes.
The hat consists of two parts connected by a thread. Just unscrew them to access the chamber with a diameter of 55 mm and a height of about 65 mm. You can place a Fluonose Mini, Mini+, or Nano+ scent canister inside, but a properly prepared scent carrier without an additional container will work just as well. There are no magnets or special mounts inside, so you simply place the scent source into the chamber and then screw both parts of the cone back together.
The Holiday Tracker Hat has a wide, flat base with a diameter of about 10 cm and weighs around 150 g. This ensures that it stands firmly on the floor, even when your dog accidentally nudges it with their nose or touches it with their paw during a search. There’s no need to secure or weigh it down. You can set it up in the training room, at home, or outdoors, even during training in less favorable weather.
