Are you looking for a way to diversify your scent training? Do you feel like your dog is searching with its "eyes" instead of its nose, seeing yet another typical box or can? It's time to pull out the heavy equipment... more specifically, Scent Hammer! This is not just an ordinary toy – it's a clever training tool that looks like it was taken straight from a DIY workshop, but in reality, it serves to hide scents.
Scent Hammer is a brilliant optical distraction. For us, it's a hammer; for the dog – just another object in the environment that needs to be checked. This way, you teach your four-legged friend that the source of the scent can be hidden literally anywhere, even in everyday items. It's a fantastic way to generalize scent and build the dog's confidence in unusual situations.

First of all, we focused on realism and functionality. The handle mimicking light wood and the graphite head make the gadget look very authentic. You can place it on grass, on the sidewalk, or on a table in the garden – it will blend perfectly into the background.
Scent Hammer is not just a pretty replica. After unscrewing the handle (which you can do with one quick motion!), you gain access to a special chamber. It is designed to perfectly fit Fluonose Nano+ cans. The can sits securely in the socket, with no annoying rattling that could distract more sensitive dogs.
If you don't have a Nano+ can on hand, you can easily place just the scent carrier inside – a cotton pad, felt, or a piece of wood soaked in oil. The material we made the hammer from is easy to keep clean. After training in mud or dust, just wash it in warm water with a bit of dish soap.

Designed by enthusiasts for enthusiasts. Every element has its justification here.
Want to see how your dog handles the Scent Hammer in action? Here’s a suggestion for a simple yet effective "search area" exercise.
Preparation: Place a few safe items associated with a workshop/garden on the grass or terrace, e.g., a piece of wood, an empty flower pot, a thick rope, and our Scent Hammer (with a hidden scent sample). Arrange them in a loose composition.
Task: The dog must ignore the other items (which are just visual background) and precisely indicate the hammer as the source of the scent. Thanks to the realistic appearance of the hammer, the dog does not receive a visual cue "oh, there's a nosework box!", but must rely 100% on its nose.
Remember, Scent Hammer is intended solely for scent work – after finding and rewarding the dog, we hide the gadget. This is not a tug toy!
