Does scent training have to end where water begins? Absolutely not! We present Fluonose Aqua – the first scent can in the Fluo family created for special tasks. It's a true "amphibian" among training accessories. Whether your dog is training for water rescue or you just want to take the fun of nosework to the lake, river, or... deep snowdrifts – this container will change your approach to scenting.

Engineering in the service of the dog's nose

The biggest challenge in water training is reconciling two contradictions: the scent must come out, but water should not get inside. Fluonose Aqua solves this problem brilliantly. The spacing of the scent channels (20 cm) in the side "wings" allows for scent emission while creating a barrier for water (it works a bit like a siphon). Moreover, the can is so balanced that it has great buoyancy.

You can place the scent sample directly in the container or – for greater convenience and cleanliness – put a smaller can inside, such as Fluonose Nano+ (fits perfectly!). This is a great solution if you want to quickly change scents without washing the entire Fluonose Aqua container.

Sample training: "Underwater Treasures" 🏴‍☠️

This scenario is perfect for dogs that love water but are just learning that the scent can come from the depths.

1. Preparation: Place the scent sample (e.g., cinnamon) inside the Fluonose Aqua. Tighten the lid securely.
2. Assembly: Screw the yellow eye into the bottom of the can. Tie a fishing line or thin string about 30-50 cm long to it. At the other end of the string, tie a weight (this can be a special fishing weight or just a stone in a net).
3. Hiding the sample: Enter the water (up to knee depth) and lower the weight to the bottom. The can, due to its buoyancy, will rise and "hang" underwater without surfacing.
4. Start: Introduce the dog to the water. Give the command to search. The dog should swim or wade, scenting just above the water's surface.
5. Indication: When the dog locates the scent cone coming from the water, it should clearly signal this (e.g., by barking, trying to "paw" the water, or intensely staring at the point).
6. Reward: Immediately after the indication, throw the dog its favorite floating toy to the hiding place of the can or reward it with a treat from your hand.
